Mary Eileen McDonnell is an American actress, who has performed in film, television and stage. She was born on April 28th 1953. McDonnell has been awarded an Academy Award nod for the part she performed in Dances with Wolves, as Stands With A Fist. Apart from this character McDonnell is also well-known as Laura Roslin (President of Battlestar Galactica) and the spouse of the president on Independence Day as well as her main role in the film as Donnie Darko's mother. Genesis Rodriguez grew in Miami Florida and was born into a bilingual family, and at an early childhood she was aware of her desire to pursue to make it as an actor.
