Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress famous for her performance in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her showbiz career as a child. She was a lead actress in television dramas as early as the age of 16. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was both critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects through the years. One of these is the British biographical film Control, the Greek drama film The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.

A winner of both the USA and World championships in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her present standing through a lot of struggle and immense patience.
